Calculation of the performance of the array
Under the terms of the Micro Generation Standard we use the formulae in the Governments Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) 2009 draft, this is designed to provide a ‘conservative’ estimate of pv output. The procedure is as follows:
1) Establish the installed peak power of the PV array (kWp).
2) The electricity produced by the PV array:
kWh/year = 0.8 x kWp x´ S ´ x ZPV
S is the annual solar radiation from Table H2
ZPV is the overshading factor from Table H4.
